SCHAEFFER’S (since 1839) – 229 Ultra Red Supreme Waterproof Grease is a premium, multi-purpose, extra tacky grease designed to withstand the most demanding conditions. Made with a blend of severely hydrotreated polyalphaolefin (PAO) synthetic base fluids and high viscosity index solvent-refined, severely hydrofinished 100% paraffin base oils, Ultra Red Supreme offers exceptional durability for heavy-duty automotive, industrial, and off-road equipment.

This advanced grease quickly plates to metal surfaces, forming a strong, protective layer that offers long-lasting, reliable performance, even under extreme pressure, heat, and shock loads. It resists breakdown during harsh conditions, ensuring protection against wear and tear on bearings and other critical parts. Fortified with molybdenum disulfide (moly), Ultra Red Supreme significantly reduces friction, which in turn lowers wear and contact area temperatures. The result is extended equipment life, reduced downtime, and longer lubrication intervals.

Ultra Red Supreme is formulated to meet the needs of environments where cleanliness is essential, as it’s designed as a red grease for clean operations. It’s particularly effective in applications where a waterproof grease is necessary, as it resists emulsifying, washing out, and spraying off when exposed to moisture. The grease exhibits 100% reversibility, maintaining consistency and performance during intense pressure and severe mechanical action.

Offering excellent shear and mechanical stability, Ultra Red Supreme stays in place and resists separating, even under the most challenging conditions. It has increased oxidation stability, high dropping point, and provides outstanding protection against rust and corrosion. With excellent pumpability and flowability in low temperatures, it is ideal for use in a wide variety of heavy-duty applications. However, it’s not recommended for use in passenger car automotive wheel bearings or electric motor bearings.
